Transport
Transport connections to Gandia are excellent. Two international airports are conveniently located nearby: Valencia Airport and Alicante–Elche Airport. In addtion, the highway network is excellently developed, even beyond Spain’s borders.
Traveling from Valencia is straightforward, with regular train services connecting the city to Gandia. Additionally, a daily bus service operates directly to the district where the property is located. This ensures that the investment property is easily accessible not only by car but also via reliable public transportation options.
Situated on Spain’s eastern coast, Gandia is easily accessible by car from numerous European countries, with just a few hours of driving required to reach this vibrant coastal destination.
Activities
Gandia offers a wide variety of festivals, markets, sporting events, and exhibitions, showcasing its lively cultural scene. The city also features a diverse selection of traditional Spanish and contemporary cafés and restaurants, catering to all tastes. Local Festivals
In Spain, traditional religious festivals such as Easter and Christmas are celebrated with great enthusiasm and widespread participation. Throughout the year, numerous other religious festivities honor saints (Santos) as well. One particularly atmospheric celebration is the Noche de San Juan, characterized by bonfires and lively gatherings that evoke a magical ambiance.
An unique event in the Valencian region is the Fallas festival. This vibrant multi-day celebration occurs from March 15 to March 19 in honor of Saint Joseph. During these days, the streets are filled with over 20 large, often satirical sculptures crafted from papier-mâché and wood. The festival culminates on March 19 with a spectacular burning of these artistic creations, creating a breathtaking and fiery spectacle.
Beyond religious celebrations, Gandia offers a wide variety of events throughout the year. These include for example enchanting classical concerts, lively music festivals, bustling medieval markets, paella cooking competitions and intriguing exhibitions such as captivating old classic cars. During the summer, the popular open-air cinema on the beach also creates special summer evenings.
Sport Events
Gandia offers a wide range of sports activities that attract many participants. These include for example a competitive sea swim in January, various running events throughout the year, triathlons, cycling races, charity runs for cancer research, as well as football and rugby matches. There are also numerous beach sports taking place in the summer, such as beach volleyball.
In and around Gandia are many other sports activities to enjoy. Hikers can discover scenic trails that showcase the region’s natural beauty, while climbers will find numerous challenging spots to conquer.
When it comes to water sports, almost anything is possible: kitesurfing, stand-up paddling, jet skiing, sailing, and much more provide plenty of action on the water.
